Starter Packs

Introduction

To give you a head start when building your new application, Lacelium offers starter packs. Starter packs provide scaffolding for authentication, user registration, password resets, session management, and dashboard administration so you don't have to build these repetitive features from scratch.

Available Starter Packs

Lacelium includes several official starter presets tailored to different application architectures:

Classic Web (Twig + Vanilla UI)

The Classic Web starter pack is the default preset for Lacelium. It pairs server-rendered Twig templates with lightweight, zero-dependency JavaScript and CSS. It includes:

  • Full session authentication controllers (Login, Register, Logout)
  • CSRF protection headers on all forms
  • Flash messaging alert toasts
  • Responsive navigation drawer and user profile menus

ArgusKit Studio Starter

The ArgusKit starter pack adds an immediate, visual administrative dashboard to your application. Designed for back-office tooling, customer support portals, and database management, it includes:

  • Visual Table Builder and Schema Inspector
  • Real-time database CRUD tables with pagination and searching
  • Custom maintenance module registry
  • Modal dialog integration for creating and editing records without page reloads

API & Nexify Starter

For applications that require high-throughput headless REST endpoints and real-time bidirectional messaging, the API starter pack configures:

  • Bearer token and API key validation middleware
  • JSON response formatting helpers
  • Built-in Nexify real-time daemon running seamlessly on the same URL and port as Lacelium
  • Browser channel subscriber utilities and live DOM broadcasting

Scaffolding a Starter Pack

You can scaffold a starter pack into any fresh Lacelium project using the Dipper console:

# Scaffold standard web authentication
php console make:auth

# Scaffold ArgusKit admin studio
php console make:arguskit

# Scaffold API token authentication
php console make:api

Customizing the Scaffolding

All starter pack files are published directly into your application directory tree (under app/Http/Controllers/ and app/Views/). There are no hidden vendor wrappers or vendor lock-in. You have complete freedom to modify the controllers, forms, validation rules, and templates to meet your project's unique requirements.
